Subscribers
Are you interested in becoming a financial subscriber of Access Aware? There are 3 categories of subscription on offer:
- Local Council Subscription - take on the responsibility for directory entries for their local council services and public facilities, e.g. a council customer service centre, council chambers etc and accessible parking/toilets in their local government area.
- Corporate Subscription - e.g. banks or franchise businesses who take on the responsibility for only their branch entries in the directory across a broader geographic area that encompasses two or more LGAs.
- Peak Community Group Subscription - e.g. Accessible Arts who take on the responsibility for only the entries in the directory that relate to venues and facilities for the arts across a broader geographical area that encompasses two or more LGAs.
Consider some of the advantages of becoming a subscriber
Local Councils can:
- raise awareness about accessibility and universal design in their community and publicly recognise and reward local businesses that have won their annual access award
- publish a printed local government area access guide that provides opportunities for increased tourism in their LGA, especially from seniors (Grey Nomads)
- use Access Aware to help meet their local government disability obligations
- collect evidence based results that demonstrate a commitment to and implementation of access strategies in council Action Plans
Corporate Subscribers can:
- increase their customer base
- be recognised by the public as a company that invests in social capital
Community Peak Groups can:
- offer a tailored access directory for a particular audience or interest, without the significant overheads of developing the software
- help promote full inclusion for people with access difficulties to all their stakeholders through education and information as a peak organisation
- add a valuable community resource to their organisation that further enhances equitable, dignified access for all members of the community

Registered subscribers have administrative access to their entries on the Access Aware database using the Subscriber Login.
